guest blogger!

Another beautiful and inspiring muse was jut added on the Muses page. This blog post is a little different in that it was written by a wonderful friend of mine who accompanied me on the trip to Guatemala. Melina Thurmond wrote about a child (friend) she met in Guatemala who inspired her, one who changed the way she looked at life from that moment forward. This is all what this blog is about so make sure you read Pan de chocolate and allow it to inspire you!

Thank you Melina for contributing to peoplearemymuse!

hello again

It has been some time since I have last posted here. It probably looked bad to introduce a cool new blog about cool people and only post about my mother (who is still a rockstar) and then go ghost mode for 9 months. . . but, a lot has happened in the world as I am positive you are very aware of that. I had plenty on my plate when I decided to start this project (which is a very typical thing for me to do) and things just kept piling and piling up so I did not have much time to pay attention to the muses around me. Luckily, though, I got to travel to Guatemala on a wonderful and educational trip for school. This experience was just….wow. Honestly, due to everything that I saw and experienced, I had no idea where to start when it came to storylining it and sharing muses with the world. It took me some time- all of the quarantine- to figure out what I wanted to say. Today I am posting my first of few muses I found in Guatemala in hopes that it shines some light in the darkness of the world right now. It may make you think a lot about the situation you think your in and then look to situations others are all across the world. Don’t get sad, though, instead just remember how beautiful it is that there are wonderful people everywhere trying to make a difference and help others.

The next few posts were written not only by me, but with the help of the lovely ladies who accompanied me on this trip! So kudos to them for helping me write these and writing a few of their own!

Enjoy the next muse :)

and this is the start

Hello! This project is something I have been thinking about doing for a while now. I really get interested in the stories that others have to share. I like to know why people are the way they are, what they had to live through and overcome to get to the point they are today. Please acknowledge this is free style writing, and I am not the best. Despite that though, I want to make sure these wonderful people and their stories are speaking to the volumes they deserve. I am hoping this project inspires even the slightest. number of people to learn more about others surrounding them.

To begin I interviewed my mom, trying to listen to a story I know of well, but never knew her perspective on. This was a great experience for me to begin this project and I hope that I can continue to grow from it.
